Terms of Service

These terms apply when you buy a managed website, a handed-over website or a logo from Keelstone Studio. They are written in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, email me before you pay and I will explain it.

Who you are dealing with

Keelstone Studio is a one-person studio operated by Julian from Las Vegas, Nevada, serving businesses across the United States. Contact: keelstonestudio@gmail.com.

What is included

There are two ways to get a website. In both, I design and build a website for your business using your logo, colours, photographs and text. It is built mobile-first and tested on real devices, and includes a contact form that delivers messages to your inbox. You get two rounds of revisions during the build.

Managed website ($300 build and launch, plus $100 per month; $400 is charged on the first day). I build the website, launch it and keep it online. For as long as your subscription is active, the monthly fee covers hosting, registration and renewal of one domain name, an SSL certificate, weekly backups, content updates when your details change, and email support answered within one business day.

Handed-over website ($2,300 one time). I build the website and deliver every file, ready to upload to the hosting of your choice. There is no monthly fee. Hosting, the domain name, the security certificate, backups and later updates are your responsibility, and any work after delivery is quoted separately.

Complete Logo Package ($300 on its own, $250 with either website). Five concepts, every version of the logo, files in PNG, JPG, SVG and PDF, your colour palette, two brand fonts, a short brand guide and mockups, with two rounds of revisions on the concept you choose. Extra revisions, extra concepts and printing are quoted separately. CMYK colour codes are approximate; confirm them with your printer.

NFC bracelets and business cards

These are physical products quoted per order. The quote states the price, quantity, customization, production time, shipping cost and any conditions before you pay.

What is not included

Anything not listed above is quoted separately: additional pages beyond what we agreed, a second language version, online shops and payment systems, booking systems, custom calculators, advertising, search engine optimisation, social media management, and content written on your behalf.

Payment

Online payments are processed by Stripe; I never see or store your card details. Managed website: $400 is charged when you start (build and launch plus the first month). From the following month, $100 is charged automatically on the same date each month until you cancel. Handed-over website and logo: charged once, in full, before I start.

Cancelling

This applies to the managed website. There is no minimum term and no cancellation penalty. Either of us can end the agreement with 10 days' notice in writing, by email. When it ends, your website is taken offline, because the monthly fee is what pays for the hosting, the domain and the security certificate. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid for. Months already paid are not refunded in part.

If a payment fails

Stripe retries automatically and emails you. If the account is still unpaid 7 days after the due date, your website is suspended and visitors see a temporary notice; it is restored as soon as the amount is paid. If it is still unpaid 30 days after the due date, the agreement is cancelled and the website is removed.

Who owns what

You own your domain name, the content you supply and any data collected through your website. Always.

Handed-over website: once paid in full, the website, its design, layout and code, and every file delivered are yours.

Managed website: I own the website itself, its design, layout and code, while your subscription is active. It is licensed to you for use, not sold. To take it elsewhere, I transfer the complete files for a one-time buyout fee of $2,500. Once paid, the website is yours and the agreement ends.

A logo and every file delivered with it become 100% yours once the logo fee is paid in full.

Your responsibilities

You agree to supply the text, photographs, logo and business details needed, and you confirm you have the right to use everything you supply.

Limits

I keep your website online and back it up weekly, but I cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Hosting providers, domain registrars and internet services occasionally fail for reasons outside my control. My total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you have paid in the three months before a claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version is posted here with a new date. Changes never apply retroactively to work already paid for.
